Each entity operates independently, meaning you can submit data subject rights to any of the business units.
4. Unsolicited Applications
We welcome unsolicited applications. Please ensure adequate security for the transmission method you choose. Sending an email without an appropriate encryption method is not recommended, as your data could be easily accessed and used by unauthorized persons during communication. If you wish to send us an encrypted email with application documents, please use the email address [email protected].
5. Cookies
We use cookies on our website. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any harm to your device, do not contain viruses, trojans, or other malware.
The cookie stores information that is generated in connection with the specific device you are using. However, this does not mean that we gain direct knowledge of your identity.
The use of cookies serves, on the one hand, to make the use of our website more pleasant for you. For example, we use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted after you leave our site.
Additionally, we also use temporary cookies to optimize user-friendliness, which are stored on your device for a specified period. If you visit our site again to use our services, it will automatically recognize that you have been here before and what inputs and settings you made so that you do not have to enter them again.
On the other hand, we use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you (see section 6). These cookies enable us to recognize that you have already been to our site when you visit again. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined time.
The data processed by cookies is necessary for the purposes mentioned to protect our legitimate interests and those of third parties according to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or a message always appears before a new cookie is created. Disabling cookies entirely may, however, mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website.
6. Analytics Tools
The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out based on Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. With the tracking measures we use, we want to ensure a needs-based design and the ongoing optimization of our website. On the other hand, we use the tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you. These interests are considered legitimate within the meaning of the above-mentioned provision.
The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the corresponding tracking tools.
i) Google Analytics
For the purpose of demand-oriented design and ongoing optimization of our pages, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (https://www.google.com/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter "Google"). In this context, pseudonymized usage profiles are created, and cookies (see section 5) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website such as:
is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, compile reports on website activities, and provide other services related to website and internet usage for market research and demand-oriented design of these internet pages. This information may also be transferred to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other data from Google. IP addresses are anonymized, so identification is not possible (IP masking).
You can prevent the installation of cookies by configuring your browser software accordingly; however, we point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website fully.
You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en)
As an alternative to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can also prevent the collection by Google Analytics by clicking on this link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie applies only to this browser and only to our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.
Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found, for example, in the Google Analytics Help (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en).
ii) Google Adwords Conversion Tracking
To statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our website for you, we also use Google Conversion Tracking. In this process, a cookie (see section 5) is set on your computer by Google Adwords if you have reached our website via a Google ad.
These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the AdWords customer's website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.
Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. AdWords customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.
If you do not want to participate in the tracking process, you can also decline the setting of a cookie required for this— for example, by configuring your browser to deactivate the automatic setting of cookies generally. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain "www.googleadservices.com". Google's privacy policy on conversion tracking can be found here (https://services.google.com/sitestats/en.html).
7. Social Media Plug-ins
We use social plug-ins from the social networks Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram on our website based on Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR to increase awareness of our company. The underlying promotional purpose is considered a legitimate interest under the GDPR. The responsibility for ensuring data protection-compliant operation lies with their respective providers. We integrate these plug-ins using the so-called two-click method to protect visitors to our website as best as possible.
a) Facebook
Our website uses social media plugins from Facebook to make their use more personal. For this, we use the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button. This is an offer from Facebook.
When you access a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook's servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser and integrated into the website.
By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged into Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.
If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can directly assign your visit to our website to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed to your Facebook friends.
Facebook may use this information for advertising, market research, and tailored design of Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook creates usage, interest, and relationship profiles, e.g., to evaluate your use of our website concerning the advertisements displayed to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website, and to provide other services related to the use of Facebook.
If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website.
For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and settings options to protect your privacy, please refer to Facebook's data protection information (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/).
b) Twitter
Plugins from the Twitter short message network operated by Twitter Inc. (Twitter) are integrated into our web pages. The Twitter plugins (tweet button) can be recognized by the Twitter logo on our site. An overview of tweet buttons can be found here (https://about.twitter.com/resources/buttons).
When you visit a page of our website that contains such a plugin, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Twitter server. Twitter thus receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click the Twitter "tweet button" while logged into your Twitter account, you can link the content of our pages to your Twitter profile. This allows Twitter to associate your visit to our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or how Twitter uses it.
If you do not want Twitter to associate your visit to our pages, please log out of your Twitter user account.
For more information, please refer to Twitter's privacy policy (https://twitter.com/privacy).
c) LinkedIn
Our website uses functions of the LinkedIn network. The provider is LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Each time one of our pages containing LinkedIn functions is accessed, a connection to LinkedIn servers is established. LinkedIn is informed that you have visited our websites with your IP address. If you click the LinkedIn “Recommend” button and are logged into your LinkedIn account, LinkedIn can associate your visit to our website with you and your user account. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or how LinkedIn uses it.
For more information, please refer to LinkedIn's privacy policy: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
d) Xing
Our website uses functions of the Xing network. The provider is XING AG, Dammtorstraße 29-32, 20354 Hamburg, Germany. Each time one of our pages containing Xing functions is accessed, a connection to Xing servers is established. To our knowledge, no personal data is stored in this process.
In particular, no IP addresses are stored, and user behavior is not evaluated.
For more information on data protection and the Xing Share Button, please refer to Xing's privacy policy at https://www.xing.com/app/share?op=data_protection.
8. Plugins and Tools
Google Web Fonts
This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you access a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.
For this purpose, the browser you use must connect to Google's servers. Through this, Google becomes aware that our website was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of our online offerings. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.
If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.
Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/. Opt-Out: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated
9. Rights of Data Subjects
You have the right to:
In accordance with Art. 15 GDPR, request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request information about the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, or objection, the existence of a right to complain, the origin of your data, if it was not collected by us, as well as the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, and, if applicable, meaningful information about the details involved;
In accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, request the immediate correction of incorrect or completion of your personal data stored by us; in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, request the deletion of your personal data stored by us, unless processing is necessary to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, to fulfill a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims; in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, request the restriction of the processing of your personal data if you dispute the accuracy of the data, the processing is unlawful, but you oppose its deletion and we no longer need the data, but you require it to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims, or you have objected to processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR; in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format or request the transmission to another controller; in accordance with Art. 7 (3) GDPR, withdraw your consent at any time. This means that we can no longer continue the data processing based on this consent for the future, and in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR, lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or our company headquarters for this purpose.
10. Right to Object
If your personal data is processed based on legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, provided there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct marketing. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which we will implement without specifying a particular situation.
If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal or objection, it is sufficient to send an email to [email protected]
11. Data Security
We use the widespread SSL (Secure Socket Layer) procedure in connection with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser during your website visit. As a rule, this is 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we will use 128-bit v3 technology instead if technically possible. You can tell whether a single page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.
We also use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

Due to the further development of our website and offers or due to changed legal or regulatory requirements, it may be necessary to change this privacy policy. The current privacy policy can be accessed and printed at any time on the website at https://www.enerent.com/rechtliches/privacy-policy.
